The Silex baseball game that was postponed on April 16th at Bowling Green will now be played on Wednesday, April 24th at Bowling Green High School. Game time is 5 p.m.

The baseball game scheduled for today, Tuesday, April 16th at Bowling Green is postponed due to weather. The makeup date is TBD.

Correction: Promenade is 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13th in the High School Gymnasium. Admission is $1.00 donation per person with all proceeds going to After Prom.

Congratulations to Jake Jones for being chosen as Junior Deputy this week! Jake is a 1st grade student in Mrs. Rogers' class. Jake is a good listener, follows directions, raises his hand to ask a question, completes all his work and is a good friend. Presenting the badge to Jake is School Resource Officer, David Lingle.

Congratulations to Claire Kinion for being selected to attend Missouri Girls State this summer! Missouri Girls State gives young women who have just finished their Junior year in high school the opportunity to study city, county and state government. It is an extensive week of government and Americanism study sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary and local businesses. Claire would like to thank Silex Banking Company, Lincoln County Moose Lodge, David Wommack Repair/Lolar Branch, Millwood Ladies Auxiliary 2009 and Jessica Zumwalt-Lincoln County Collector, for sponsoring her.
