Here is an option for athletes to get their sports physical.
Silex High School and Junior High Athletes: Sports physical evaluations are required every two years in order to be eligible to participate in sports. The MSHSAA pre-participation documentation is required each year.
Please be sure to obtain a physical and fill out the "yellow tryout card" prior to the first day of practice. All documents must be turned into Coach James. Forms can be picked up in the high school office or click https://5il.co/1df9e to print out the form.
High School Fall sports practices will begin on August 8th and Junior High Fall sports practices will begin on August 15th.
2022-2023 Silex School calendar
The NHS Progressive Dinner scheduled for Monday, June 27th, has been cancelled due to other activities being rescheduled.
Due to water pump issues within the city of Silex, Silex school offices will be closed on Monday, June 20, 2022.
Silex Elementary Summer School Notice: Construction crews will be working on the elementary parking lot beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, June 1st. Therefore, summer school drop off and pick up will be moved to the high school parking lot beginning tomorrow.

Silex Track & Field update at 10:24 a.m.: At this time, gates will open no earlier than 12:00 PM and events starting no earlier than 1:00 PM.
There will be no Opening Ceremonies but we will play the National Anthem.
The running schedule will be moving to a rolling schedule with the 4x800 starting at approximately 1:00 PM.
Field Events will move to finals only.
Throws will be four attempts, flighted
Horizontal Jumps will be four attempts, cafeteria style
Class 2 Girls High Jump will start at approximately 1:00 PM. Class 2 Boys High Jump will start warmups immediately following the Girls.
Girls Class 1 Pole Vault will start at approximately 1:00 PM on PIT #1 (Back stretch). Class 1 Boys High Jump will be contested on PIT #2 (by Triple Jump) starting at 1:30 PM
Due to continuing severe weather conditions in Jefferson City, Saturday's Class 1 and Class 2 Track & Field Championships are still delayed.
Gates will now open no earlier than 12 Noon, with all events not starting before 1 p.m.

Tomorrow, Thursday, May 19th is the last day of school, with an early dismissal of 12:15 p.m.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
