The Pike-Lincoln Tech Center bus will leave the Silex School campus everyday at 7:45 a.m. Students will board the bus outside of the high school. Please be sure to be on the bus at that time. The bus will return at 11:00 a.m.
Silex students in grades 6-12: Locker assignments will be posted at Back to School Night at the High School Concession Stand and across from the Cafeteria.
Grades 7-12 schedules can be picked up this week from 9:00 am. - 3:00 p.m.
They will be outside of the high school office. Schedule change requests can be made in Mrs. Heitgerd's office all week. No schedule changes will be made after August 24th.
Freshman orientation is tonight at 5:30 and 6th grade orientation is at 6:30 in the cafeteria. Parents are encouraged to attend with their student.
Silex Middle School Fall Athletes must have their practice cards & physicals turned in by Friday, August 11th in order to be able to practice on Monday, August 14th. Practice cards can be picked up in the HS office, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. If you have any questions, email eevans@silex.k12.mo.us
The 2022-2023 Silex High School & Elementary yearbooks will be available for pickup on August 17th from 5:30 - 7 p.m. during our Back to School night.

The Silex NHS Owls Care program could use your help. Owls Care provides any Silex student with personal hygiene products. Owls Care items will be available every day, starting with back to school night on August 17th. The following wish list are the items needed to refill the supply center. Silex R-1 is seeking a half time counselor to serve the need for a 1 year grant. The grant will cover salary and possibly benefits. Silex R-1 will seek to find an additional school to partner with to make it full time but currently it is a part time position.
