Spring Break Photo Contest
Grades 6-12
The Yearbook Staff and I would like to remind everyone, as we head into 4th quarter, to order the 2016-2017 School Yearbook. They are currently being sold for $40, and they include photos of all of the Silex R-I students, in addition to activities, clubs, and events for those students in grades 6-12.
The Yearbook will be completed by early June, ordered, and received by mid-September. However, due to the cost of the books, we do not order extra. So, please make sure to place your order before the end of the school year. You may send your money (a check preferably made out to Silex Publications) to Hally Wells.
Also, we want you to know that we are holding a Spring Break Photo Contest. Any students submitting a photo taken ONLY by them during the week of spring break (March 20 - March 26) will have the opportunity to win a FREE yearbook. The photo can be an interesting place visited during spring break or a fun activity done during the time off. The winner will get a free yearbook, and the second- and third-place winners will received prizes as well. All of the top three photographs will be included in the yearbook. Give it a try and share your talent with your fellow students!

All prom paperwork needs to be filled out and returned to the office by March 31st.
Prom t-shirts and tumbler orders and money need to be turned into today.
Just a reminder... School is in session tomorrow. Spring Break begins Tuesday.

Sad News - The Ice Cream Truck had mechanical issues and was unable to make it today.
We will reschedule for after spring break. Teachers are holding on to the money until it is rescheduled.

The Girls Soccer team will play Fulton in the Warrenton Girls Soccer Classic today beginning at 4:30pm. The bus will leave at 2:30pm from Elsberry School and pick up Silex girls at 2:45 at Auburn junction. They will then play Warrenton at 9am and Liberty at 1:30pm on Saturday, March 18th. The bus will leave at 7am from Elsberry School and pick up the Silex girls at 7:15 at Auburn junction.
