Attention Class of 2021! Seniors interested in earning college credit through MSSU dual enrollment will be required to attend a meeting on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the high school. A virtual meeting link was sent via email by Mrs. Heitgerd for those who wish to attend but are unable to do so in person.

The Silex R-1 School District would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Lucille Lindsay. Mrs. Lindsay served as Silex Elementary Principal from 1973-1985. In 2015, she was awarded a Pioneer in Education Award from the Missouri Education Department. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020, at Indian Creek Baptist Church in New Hartford, MO. Visitation will be held on Friday, July, 3, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green, MO. Congratulations to Coach O'Heron and the Silex Lady Owls for being recognized with the Musial Award a national event celebrating the year's greatest moments of sportsmanship and those in sports who embody class and character. The Lady Owls will receive the Most Important Awards in Sports on Saturday, November 21. The event will air nationally on CBS.
