Silex Elementary Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Stephanie Ostmann, received a $200 grant back in March from the Lincoln County Retired School Personnel Organization. Mrs. Ostmann used the grant to purchase a display style bookshelf and new books for her students. The students are really enjoying the new books.

The Owls tied Clopton for 1st at Elsberry on Tuesday, but lose in scorecard playoff. Owls are led by Carter Johnston, sophomore, with a 44.
